1 Day RR Spike Knife Class $250/person

•Most Popular• This no experience necessary class is perfect for those who want to get a taste of what the craft is like, or even those who are just looking to try something new for a day! Students will make high carbon RR spike knives of their own design and get to use industrial machinery specific to the knife making trade. Price includes all materials.
The class lasts one full day (9-4) with a one hour lunch at noon. Food is not provided but my shop is within walking distance of Downtown Louisville CO, home of many good local restaurants. You are expected to wear close toed shoes, clothes that can get damaged, to bring enough water and snacks for the day, and to bring any protective equipment you might want to use. 1 Day Random Pattern Damascus Class
3 person maximum 9am-4pm
This one day class will focus on the fundamentals of making pattern welded damascus steel in a gas forge and is intended for smiths who have their own set up and are interested in getting further into the craft. Students will spend the day prepping, welding, and restacking a relatively high layer random pattern billet that can be taken home to make their own knives out of, or brought back for the 2 day full tang or chopstick classes. The billet will be big enough for 2-3 medium sized knives. Price includes all materials.

•NEW• 1 Day Damascus Chopstick Class $350/person
3 person maximum 9am-4pm
This class requires zero experience. For those who love cooking and eating but would rather use handmade eating tools than buy them. We will spend a day forging one set of Damascus steel chopsticks per person. We will cover forging, grinding, heat treating, and acid etching Damascus steel. The steel will be provided, this is not a damascus making class. If you have already taken the damascus class, you can bring your own steel to use in this one. Price includes all materials.

•NEW• 2 Day Integral-Bolster Hidden-Tang Kitchen Knife Class

This is my most in depth and technical class available. Some experience is highly recommended but not entirely necessary. This class will take course over a full weekend and covers every step in the knife making process including design, preform, forging, heat treatment, grinding, tempering, and handling. Students will make an 8 inch chefs knife with an integral bolster and hidden tang. Price covers all materials and consumables used. Sheaths are not included.
The class lasts two full days (9am-4pm) with a one hour lunch at noon each day. Food is not provided but my shop is within walking distance of Downtown Louisville CO, home of many good local restaurants. You are expected to wear close toed shoes, clothes that can get damaged, to bring enough water and snacks for each day, and to bring any protective equipment you might want to use. 2 Day Full Tang Knife Class
$650/person
2 person maximum Sat/Sun 9am-4pm
This is my second most in depth and technical class available. Some experience is highly recommended but not entirely necessary. This class will take course over a full weekend and covers every step in the knife making process including design, preform, forging, heat treatment, grinding, tempering, and handling. Students will make an 8 inch OAL fixed blade EDC or kitchen knife with a full tang and wooden scales of their own design. Price covers all materials and consumables used. Sheaths are not included.
The class lasts two full days (9am-4pm) with a one hour lunch at noon each day. Food is not provided but my shop is within walking distance of Downtown Louisville CO, home of many good local restaurants. This class requires some prior blacksmithing experience. For those who are just beginning their journey into bladesmithing or blacksmithing and want to make their own tools rather than buy them. We will spend a day forging one hammer of your choice in design. (Dog's head, cross/straight peen, flat rounding, etc) Price includes all materials.
The class lasts one full day (9-4) with a one hour lunch at noon. Food is not provided but my shop is within walking distance of Downtown Louisville CO, home of many good local restaurants. You are expected to wear close toed shoes, clothes that can get damaged, to bring enough water and snacks for the day, and to bring any protective equipment you might want to use. This class requires some prior blacksmithing experience. Designed for bushcraft and outdoor enthusiasts, this class will guide you through the process of creating your own hand forged hatchet. We will spend the day forging an axe head of your design (bearded, felling, carving, etc) and adding pre-made wooden handles. Price includes all materials.

This is an option for Bladesmiths and Blacksmiths who already have their own shops, and are seeking knowledge on advanced skills and techniques. I can offer lessons on the following things:
