Made from 1084 and featuring a fully forged integral bolster, this nakiri is a perfect daily-use utility knife for the kitchen. The handle is made from a stabilized piece of primo Hawaaiin Koa wood. The geometry is forged to shape, with a deep concave "hollow" body and a slightly convex edge for food release and longevity. This knife exemplifies the forging process and shows subtle signs of how it was made. Fire and steel, an age-old classic.
